Ban Kownoi primary school is a small village school about three kilometers from Thai Mueang. There are 5 teachers and 65 students in 6 grades. Ban Kownoi has had the opportunity to have a few volunteers teaching at the school in the past. The children loved the interaction and they soon overcame some of their fears of speaking to foreigners. It has also enabled the parents in the area to realize how important it is for their children to learn English.
